Now Recruiting: Housing Commission Members
North Sioux City is currently accepting letters of interest for open seats on the Housing & Redevelopment Commission (HRC). This board plays a hands-on role in housing and redevelopment efforts that directly impact our community.
Why Get Involved?
The HRC has helped bring several key projects to life, including:
- Wildflower Bend – 21 new homes, including Governor’s homes, Habitat for Humanity homes, and privately developed homes
- Prairie Lake Apartments
- New Horizon & Northport Senior Apartments
What to Expect
The HRC meets once a month on the first Friday from 12:00–1:00 PM at City Hall, with a virtual attendance option available. Board members serve three-year terms, and most involvement is limited to the monthly meeting, with occasional email updates. Additional involvement is welcome but not required, unless taking on an officer role.
