  • No Entry inside Red Tagged Homes
  • Be Cautious of ledges – May Collapse
  • Safety is a Top Priority

You may continue to assess your home. Residents may bring a contractor licensed/ insured/ bonded in SD, IA, NE, or MN to assess for stabilization of their home. Before work commences, a work plan must be submitted to the City Hall Building Permit Department for approval.

All residents will be required to evaluate and have a shoring plan, if needed, completed by an Engineer licensed to practice in South Dakota. It’s crucial that this plan is sealed in accordance with South Dakota state law to ensure the safety and stability of your home. This will be completed through the building permit process at city hall.

If your home is structurally sound, residents can access the home to begin the restoration process.

We understand that residents/ contractors may have to walk to gain access due to utility work being completed in the area, and we appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

Residents will be allowed access Wednesday from 8 am until 8 pm on July 5TH.
