Due to its impressive economic growth and its commitment to economic development, North Sioux City was named Governor Kristi Noem’s Small Community of the Year in 2021. This award, in part, stemmed from globally recognized companies locating and expanding in North Sioux City, as well as the community’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
