The City of North Sioux City is aware of the report announcing FEMA’s disaster fund has run out of funds. FEMA has informed that this should not delay South Dakota’s major disaster declaration request currently pending presidential approval. If presidential approval is received, individual assistance would proceed, as would reimbursement for emergency response efforts. The City will continue to provide updates on the major disaster declaration request status and FEMA guidance as information becomes available.
