Notice of Municipal Election

A Municipal Election will be held on April 11, 2017, in North Sioux City, South Dakota.  If the polls cannot be opened due to bad weather, the election may be postponed one week.

The election polls will be open from seven o'clock a.m. to seven o'clock p.m. central daylight savings time on the day of the election.

The following offices will be filled:

  • Mayor – 2 year term
    • Randy Fredericksen
    • Timothy B. Jacobs
  • Ward One – 2 year term
    • Lonnie Green
    • Dwight Glanzer
    • Clarence Verdoorn
  • Ward Two – 2 year term
    • Lesa Cropley
    • Cathy Dice-Moore

The following are unopposed offices:

  • Ward Three – 2 year term
    • Doug Berg
  • Ward Four – 2 year term
    • Rodd Slater

The polling place will be at the Community Center/Fire Hall which is located at 205 Sodrac Drive, in North Sioux City.

Voters with disabilities may contact the City Finance Officer at 605-232-4276 for information and special assistance in absentee voting or polling place accessibility.

The following offices will become vacant due to the expiration of the present term of office of the elective officer:

    • One Council person, Ward One – 2 year term (Verdoorn)
    • One Council person, Ward Two – 2 year term (Cropley)
    • One Council person, Ward Three – 2 year term (Berg)
    • One Council person, Ward Four – 2 year term (Slater)

April 11 - Election Day, 7:00 am to 7:00 pm
