Welcome to the ...

The Senior Citizens Service Center of North Sioux City has been operating since June of 1979. Our Center is conveniently located off Military Road at the four-way stop of Military and Main Street. We are open weekdays from 9 am - 1:30 pm throughout the year.

We would enjoy spending time with you and getting to know you better. Join us for lunch and other activities throughout the month. Whether you want to join a card game, have a cup of coffee, or you just want to get out of the house, we've got a place for you.

Volunteers @ the Center

Many hands make light work. ~John Heywood

We are always in need of volunteers. Please call if you'd like to help. More volunteers means more opportunities, including opening the center prior to 10 am.

Wanna Play Cards?

Card players of all suits and numbers are invited. Bring your group down to the Center or start a game. We have many open tables just waiting to be filled.

Evening Meals

At least once a month, the Center opens up for an evening meal that is open to the community. We held a Soup Supper in March and a Pancake Dinner in May. Be looking for our next event.

Community Organizations

The Service Center is not only the connection point for our Seniors, but home to other organizations. Two organizations who utilize our facility are the Two River Legion Post 319 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 7690.

Building Rental

Our building is here to be used! It can be rented for meetings, family gatherings, graduations, birthday parties, flea market extravaganza, and more. The entire building is rented for your event. All events must be smoke and alcohol free, and have no dancing. Dining Area seats up to 80 people.

The building can be rented evenings or weekends. Weekday rentals can begin after 5 pm. On weekend, the building is available from 9 am to 9 pm.

The facility rents for $100 and $200 on Holidays. It includes tables, chairs, and a commercial kitchen. Groups that run past 9 pm pay an additional $50.

To finalize rental, we need to have a completed rental agreement plus a $100 deposit or $200 deposit on Holidays.

At various times, we plan fundraisers to help supplement our programs. Contact our office to learn about our current activities.
