Class on Severe Weather Awareness
Wednesday, April 1, 7:00 pm
Union County Emergency Management, in cooperation with the National Weather Service and the Jefferson Fire and EMS service, will provide a Severe Weather Awareness Class on April 1, 2015 @ 7:00 pm @ the Jefferson Community Center located at 309 South Railroad Street in Jefferson.
Boat Launch Gate Active
North Sioux City's boat ramp for McCook Lake has been reactivated. All gate passes are purchased on-site through the paystation. You may purchase a daily pass for $10 or an annual pass for $30.

To vote in your ward, you must be registered at your current address by March 30. See the Election web page for specific election details.

Burning Ban-Union County
Removed, effective 3-25-15
Until further notice, the Union County Board of County Commissioners has issued a burn ban for the unincorporated areas of Union County.
MidAmerican Energy Scam Warning
MidAmerican community contact, Jennifer Morris, advised of a recent utility phone scam in the Siouxland area. KCAU posted a story regarding the scam in the Des Moines area.
Looking to Purchase a Home in North Sioux
Housing opportunities are available through a partnership with the City and the NSC Housing and Redevelopment Commission. NSC's HRC has affordable City subsidized lots available in a neighborhood development called Harvest Bend, located right off River Drive. For more details, check out the Harvest Bend web page.
